MetaQuotes, the developer of the MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms, has announced an important update that affects all ThinkMarkets live and demo users on these platforms. To ensure uninterrupted access, clients must update their terminal builds.

From 01 December 2024, MT4 builds below 1420 and MT5 builds below 4410 will no longer be allowed 

to log in. Please ensure you update your platform before this date to avoid any disruptions.

Here’s how to update your MetaTrader platform:

1. Enable automatic updates

MT4 and MT5 typically check for updates when launched. If prompted, enable automatic updates to 

ensure your platform always runs the latest version.

2. Manually update your terminal

If automatic updates are disabled, follow these steps:

• Uninstall your current MT4 or MT5 terminal.

• Log in to ThinkPortal, click Platforms on the left, and download the latest version.

• Download the latest version and follow the instructions to install.
