In April, we sponsored a heart surgery for Kha Han, a 17-month-old girl from a disadvantaged family in Vietnam. She
was diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot, a condition that could have been fatal. In collaboration with Heartbeat Vietnam,
we were able to bring hope and a second chance in life to Kha Han.
Tetralogy of Fallot consists of four congenital heart defects that affect normal blood flow and result in a lack of oxygen.
The girl’s parents, facing financial difficulties, were devastated by her life-threatening diagnosis. Her father, who works
tirelessly, is the sole breadwinner in a family of six.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, we quickly teamed up with the Heartbeat Vietnam program to fund Kha Han’s
heart surgery. The operation was a remarkable success and gave her a chance for a healthy future.
During Kha Han’s recovery at the hospital in Ho Chi Minh, our team paid her a special visit. We gifted her a toy to brighten
up dull hospital days and brought essential necessities to her mother.
Now that Kha Han has been discharged from the hospital, she can begin her journey to a healthy life.
Thanks to our partner, the Heartbeat Vietnam program, and VinaCapital Foundation, the charity behind it! VinaCapital
