On March 11, we teamed-up with Human Initiative in Indonesia to organise the ‘Shopping with Orphans’ program at Transmart Cempaka Putih in Central Jakarta. Our mutual goal was to ease the financial burdens for parentless children living in the area.
In total, we offered shopping vouchers to 30 orphans from 4 Human Initiative assisted schools: 10 from SDIT Al Amanah, 5 from SDIT Al Mubarok, 5 from SDIT Perjuanganku, and 10 from SDIT Tunas Muda. All of them had the opportunity to freely choose the goods they needed most, such as school equipment, clothing, or food.
This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to assist those who need it most, including children in difficult situations. We believe that even small gestures like this one can make a difference and put smiles on their faces!
Our partner, Human Initiative is an Indonesian charitable organisation with more than 3000 volunteers in 13 countries. It is registered as a partner institution in the European Union for social programs, and at the United Nations as an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic Social Council.
